RACE Guidelines

  1. NO CASH PRIZES. NO FRILLS. ABSOLUTELY NO WHINING ALLOWED. JUST RUN AND ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE!
  2. Solo runners must be 18 years old and have at least done one 21k road race to be allowed to join.
  3. There will be SIX aid stations to be located along the route. Usual ultra food and drinks will be served, however spartan. Post-race meal and drinks will be served at KM 65.
  4. Relay runners will swap places at the KM 32.5 point. The second runner will be allowed to proceed only after the first runner has properly checked in and the second runner is marked accordingly by the marshal.
  5. Support vehicles are allowed and optional.
  6. This is an “OPEN ROADS” race, meaning there will be NO road closures and traffic marshals, so all runners and their support crew must take the necessary precautions when navigating the route and crossing the intersections at all times. It is also the responsibility of the runner and his crew to be familiar with the race route. NO time credits will be given for runners getting lost.
  7. Runners are allowed to buy food and drinks along the route.
  8. ALL runners are required to run on the lane FACING traffic at ALL times. This is to avoid accidents. Violation of such is outright disqualification. NO warnings shall be given. Runners who have support crews must have their crews cross the road to give supplies to the supported runner. If support car driver/owner chooses to park facing the traffic, it shall be at the driver/owner’s risk and blinkers shall be put on.
  9. No riding and shortcuts allowed. This means cheating and permanent ban from joining subsequent races of frontRUNNER and PAU events nationwide.
  10. NO unregistered pacers allowed.
  11. Runners are responsible for the safety of their support crew at ALL times.
  12. For any medical emergency or should you decide not to finish (DNF), please contact the following numbers; 0917 8030664, 0999 9987654, 0922 8229342.
  13. Any complaint on cheating must be made WITHIN 24 hours after the close of the race and must be made in writing, signed and submitted to the RO/RD for proper action. This must also be accompanied by a visual proof/s of the alleged cheating. Any complaints after the 24-hour period will NOT be entertained.
  14. The Race Organizer and Director reserve the right to modify race rules at any time for the benefit and welfare of the participants.
  15. With all due respect, the Race Organizer’s and Director’s word is final. PERIOD.

    • jonel c mendoza Says:

show me the ultra spirit, almar. that’s not a problem at all. just make sure you have money, water and food to carry. and btw, when in cebu, the cebuanos take care of everyone. if you join, you will find out.

  3. hi, almar. i’m from cebu. and we’re ‘planning’ to run this unsupported. if u’ve been running long distances, i think u will do fine without support.it’s along a main road so it ‘s not totally isolated. there are stores along the way but they can be far in between esp sa transcentral hiway. so stock up with food every time u pass a sari-sari store na lang. but pls take this with a grain of salt coz your needs / expectations might be totally different from ours. cheers!

  11. Good Day Sir/Ma’am! Gusto ko lang po e-confirm if talagang “12hours” ang cut-off time for finishers as indicated here sa website? Kase when i asked for the registration form just recently at Runnrs Ayala Cebu i noticed it was written na 10hours ang cut-off time. So w/c of the two cut-offs are official & confirmed? Thanks! 🙂

    • jonel c mendoza Says:

      it is twelve hours, yes.

      • Thank you Sir Jonel! At least there’s a bit of allowance sa cut-off time if ever i will decide and be mentally & physically ready to join my first official Ultramarathon (still a Neophyte to it) & especially w/o any support vehicle running solo. Scary but a challenge for me i guess, my a.k.a. “suicide run”. 😀 Looking forward to be able to participate (*fingers crossed*), God willing… Thanks again & good luck to all who registered already! God speed! 🙂

      • Garry Garcia Says:

@Don I will run this too unsupported bring your mental fortitude . It can be done

      • Wow, thanks for the motivation Sir Garry! That is some points to ponder for me… I therefore conclude that concentration & mental toughness are the margins of victory, not in muscles. GOD Speed to all! Hope to see you all at the Starting Line (*fingers crossed*).

  12. bro. carlo bacalla, sdb Says:

Gonna miss this coast to coast! Goodluck, idol Jonel and to all the ultra runners who will be running in our “killer” mountains in cebu!

  13. I would love to do this. I grew up in Lutopan, Toledo and this would have been a great run. It has been a long time and it would be nice if you passed Manipis highway but it might be too dangerous.

  14. Sir Jonel, please reserve 1 slot for me for the solo category. I will email to you the copy of my deposit slip to your BPI account by next week. This event is my wildest dream to accomplished being a Cebuano.

  15. sir Jonel kailan po ba ang carbo loading..? para maka habol ako..at makapag reserved ako ng flight

  16. Sir. jonel may carbo loading at briefing pa po ba?
